Géographe limps into port eight weeks after Naturaliste. Only 12 of the 170 onboard are fit for duty and English crew from HMS Investigator help tow the ship into port. The French and British refit their ships at Bennelong Point, the officers are entertained by Governor King, and Baudin and Flinders meet again. Baudin purchases the shallow-draughted schooner Casuarina to replace the Naturaliste.
