While anchored in Port Jackson a greenhouse is constructed on the ship's quarter deck. The scientific gentlemen gather specimens inland, camping in Paramatta and the Blue Mountains. Mr Westall draws many sketches during walking excursions along the Hawkesbury River. On 22 July they sail on at last, bound for adventures in the north.
