Keppel Bay and Port Bowen9 August 1802 - 24 August 1802

A master's mate and a seaman get entangled in a mangrove swamp and are missing all night. An Aboriginal group find the pair and conduct them safely back to ship. Discovering pine trees in Port Bowen, the carpenters cut logs to replace the Lady Nelson's main keel.
