Strong Tide Passage, Shoalwater Bay and Broad Sound26 August 1802 - 27 September 1802

Upset by rapid water in Strong-Tide Passage, the cutter goes adrift and cannot be found. Mr Brown and his walking party get caught up chasing a kangaroo in Shoalwater Bay. Late back to shore, they are forced to spend a cold night on Aken's Island. The Lady Nelson grounds in a flood tide in Broad Sound and loses part of her new keel.
