King George Sound and Seal Island8 December 1801 - 5 January 1802

The Investigator settles in Princess-Royal Harbour after a brief stop on Seal Island. The crew spend over three weeks surveying the Bays of King George Sound, collecting more than 300 plant and animal specimens. On one daily excursion the painter Mr Bauer is overcome with heat exhaustion. With assistance he makes it back to camp.
