King Island and Port Phillip21 April 1802 - 3 May 1802

Safely anchoring off King Island in the Bass Strait, the scientific party go onshore to collect marsupial specimens. They proceed to Port Phillip and explore its fertile hills and valleys. Approached by an Aboriginal group, they offer birds and trifles in exchange for weapons.
